Wu Duan is an experienced scholar and academic recruited under Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts’ high-level talent program, holding academic and administrative roles at the institution. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from South China University of Technology, followed by master’s degrees in Architecture and Urban Design from KU Leuven (Belgium) and University College London (UK) respectively, and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. With a robust interdisciplinary background, his research focuses on urban spatial big data analysis and design, urban studies, and architectural research—exploring the intersection of data-driven insights, urban dynamics, and thoughtful architectural practice. His work embodies a commitment to rigorous academic inquiry, blending theoretical depth with practical relevance to advance understanding of urban and architectural contexts.
