Courtyard House 39 Semi Terrace
Courtyard House 39 Semi Terrace
Courtyard House 39 is the interior design of a three storey semi-terrace house in Penang, Malaysia, with a built area of about 250 square meters. The ground floor was reorganized through partial demolition and rebuilding to create an open plan, a light well, an additional bedroom and a functional kitchen. Placed openings and vent blocks support natural cross ventilation, while a skylight brings changing daylight into a shared leisure corner. Timber, red bricks and concrete are the main materials. A pocket garden links the dining area with the outdoors.
