Fruitfulness Lighting Art
Fruitfulness Lighting Art
Fruitfulness is a light installation created for a lantern festival in Taichung, Taiwan. The main structure is a field-shaped stacked frame built from solid willow cedar posts. Seven fruit-shaped lamp clusters are formed from thinly sliced willow cedar, bent by hand. The base is a square shallow water tray covered with black pebbles, and the water reflects the lit form above. Traditional tongue and groove joints and snap-on hardware are used instead of nails. The work can be fully disassembled and returned to the soil after the exhibition.
