Run Science Park utilized surrounding resources of Guangzhou Science City – a center for high-tech industries – to create a central business district with "smart architecture", which will bring along "smart life", "smart factory", and "smart city". To differentiate from traditional industrial parks with low connectivity – and to fulfill future requirements – it will have three distinctive functions; space for various exhibitions, office, and flexible usages.
